E. Noodle Chinatown is about to open at 26 Jefferson, marking the second location for the Chinatown restaurant. (The other is located on Catherine Street.)

The signage officially arrived this month. However, not much is known about that newcomer at the moment. There is no online presence and the store is still dark.

Downtown Coffee Shop, which opened at this address on the corner of Henry back in the sprint, had painted the gates with its namesake. It’s since been browned over and rebranded.

Stanley George, proprietor of his namesake Lower East Side pharmacy on Ludlow Street, passed away this week. He was 48. Stanley, who founded Stanley’s Pharmacy at the corner of Hester Street, died this past Wednesday (August 24) due to “complications during a routine outpatient medical procedure.” Not much else is known at time of publication.
